Barcelo Costa Ballena

Costa Ballena ligger längs Costa de la Luz (ljusets kust) söder om Sevilla.
Här möts man av långa sandstränder som lockar till bad så pass tidigt som i april. Området har sedan länge varit välbesökt av spanska turister medan den internationella turismen är begränsad. Detta innebär en lite lägre prisnivå och en känsla av Spansk äkthet.

Barcelo Costa Ballena Golf & Spa är ett fräscht fyrstjärnigt golfhotell med bästa läge i direkt anslutning till golfbanan (27 hål) och bara några minuters promenad från havet. Hotellet, som totalrenoverades 2018, är byggt i andalusisk stil och har 228 rymliga rum, samtliga med balkong, luftkonditionering, plasma-TV, minibar, värdeskåp och gratis WiFi.
Anläggningen har också ett fint Spa, och ett stort poolområde. På eller i närheten av hotellet finns även padelbanor, cykeluthyrning, tennisbanor, segelskola, beach volley etc

Just 100 metres from our hotel you will find the Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club, designed by Jose María Olazabal.Located in a unique enclave by the sea, it has 27 competition holes, PAR 72, with 9 practise holes, PAR 3. Challenging for the lowest handicaps and kind to players of a lower level. It offers one of the largest practise courses in Europe, with a width of 300 m (120 players at the same time) and 350 metres long on the seafront. A extensive Putting Green and Approach area with different platforms where all types of Putts are practised. Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club har, förutom en korthålsbana med par 3-hål, inte mindre än 27 riktigt bra golfhål.
Anläggningen har en stor drivingrange (120 platser) och väl tilltagna träningsytor för putt-, chip- och bunkerslag.
De tre niohålsslingorna, Los Olivos, Las Palmeras och Los Ficus, är ritade av Jose María Olazabal.
Den spännande layouten fungerar utmanande för såväl hög- som låghandicaparen. Banan är relativt flack men med en hel del mindre onduleringar och den sträcker ut sig i direkt anslutning till Atlanten.
Man får se upp för en del strategiskt placerade vattenhinder och bunkrar.
Banan ligger i direkt anslutning till hotellet.
